Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
VE-cadherin is a member of the cadherin superfamily located in a six-cadherin cluster on chromosome 16. It is involved in loss of heterozygosity events in breast and prostate cancer.
VE-cadherin is a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein composed of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region, and a conserved cytoplasmic tail. It functions as a classic cadherin, mediating homophilic adhesion, and plays an important role in endothelial cell biology by controlling cohesion and organization of intercellular junctions.
An alternative splice variant has been described, but the full-length sequence has not been determined.
