Target Information
This gene encodes a subunit of RNA polymerase II, responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. The product contains four conserved cysteines forming an atypical zinc-binding domain. Similar to its yeast counterpart, this subunit may be shared by other DNA-directed RNA polymerases.
