PA1-16924 is specific for the ~55 kDa Calreticulin protein.
Several isoforms have been reported, ranging from 48–62 kDa.
Suggested positive control: antigen standard for CALR (transient overexpression lysate).
Target Information
Calreticulin (Calr) is a calcium-binding chaperone that promotes folding, oligomeric assembly, and quality control in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) via the calreticulin/calnexin cycle.
It transiently interacts with most monoglucosylated glycoproteins synthesized in the ER and also binds to the DNA-binding domain of NR3C1 to mediate its nuclear export.
Calreticulin may also play a role in maternal gene expression regulation and oocyte maturation through calcium homeostasis regulation.
