- The reaction with mouse LC3 is weaker than with human LC3.
- The immunogen has 100% sequence homology with rat and zebrafish, 92% with mouse, and 91% with bovine proteins.
Target Information
LC3B (Autophagy Marker Light Chain 3B, MAP1A/MAP1B LC3B) is encoded by the MAP1LC3B gene in humans. LC3B is associated with microtubule assembly and plays an important role in neurogenesis and autophagy.
Autophagy is a process for degrading cytoplasmic components, including enzymes and organelles, especially during nutrient starvation. LC3B mediates interactions between microtubules and cytoskeletal components and may be involved in cancer, aging, metabolic, neurodegenerative, and cardiovascular/pulmonary diseases.
