This antibody recognizes the alloantigen Thy-1.2 of mouse Thy-1 (CD90) and does not cross-react with the Thy-1.1 alloantigen.
Thy-1 is an 18–35 kDa cell surface GPI-anchored glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. In mice, it is abundant on thymocytes and peripheral T lymphocytes.
It does not cross-react with human or rat CD90.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) is a GPI-linked glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer cells, and fibroblasts.
CD90 plays roles in cell-cell and cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other neural events. It serves as a marker for various stem cells and axonal processes of mature neurons.
Structural studies of CD90 contributed to defining the immunoglobulin superfamily and the first biochemical characterization of a vertebrate GPI anchor.
Dysfunction of CD90 has been associated with diseases such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma and thymoma.
