Mouse anti-Human Acetylcholine Receptor beta antibody, clone B3, exhibits homogenous, high-avidity binding to the beta subunit of nicotinic AChR. This receptor is an integral membrane cholinergic receptor composed of four additional subunits: alpha, delta, gamma (immature muscle), and epsilon (mature muscle).
Target Information
The muscle acetylcholine receptor comprises five subunits: two alpha, one beta, one gamma, and one delta. The CHRNB1 gene encodes the beta subunit. Upon acetylcholine binding, the receptor undergoes conformational change, opening an ion-conducting channel across the plasma membrane. Mutations in CHRNB1 are linked to slow-channel congenital myasthenic syndrome.
