NUAK2 (SNF1/AMP kinase-related kinase, SNARK)는 NUAK family의 SNF1-like kinase 2에 속하는 단백질로, 근육 수축에 의해 활성화되며 골격근의 수축 자극성 포도당 수송을 매개하는 독특한 인자입니다.
NUAK2는 비만 및 제2형 당뇨병과 관련된 세포 스트레스 반응에 관여하며, AMP 및 5-amino-4-imidazolecarboxamide riboside에 의해 활성화되어 AMPK kinase 의존 경로를 통해 작용할 수 있습니다. 또한 포도당 결핍 시 NUAK2 활성은 증가합니다.
