Description:
The C363.16A monoclonal antibody reacts with the exon B-dependent isoform of mouse CD45. This isoform is expressed by thymocytes, peripheral B cells, and a subpopulation of T cells at high density, and by dendritic cells and macrophages at low density. CD45 is a protein tyrosine phosphatase with a key role in leukocyte signal transduction.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended usage is ≤0.125 µg per test (per 100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Target Information

CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (CD45 glycoprotein). CD45 is essential in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases and promoting cell survival through integrin-mediated pathways. It is also involved in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45 isoforms differ in extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. Expression varies by cell type and physiological state. CD45RB is expressed in microglia and inflammatory cells, and CD45 is present on most hematopoietic cells except mature red cells.
