Product Specific Information
The UCHT2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD5, a 67 kDa protein expressed by most thymocytes, mature T cells, and a subset of B cells. CD5 signaling activates T cells and mediates T-B cell interactions via CD72 binding.

- Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on human peripheral blood cells; recommended 5 µL (0.5 µg)/test in 100 µL final volume

- Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.
For compensation setup, use stained cells rather than beads when using UltraComp eBeads (Product # 01-2222-42) or AbC Total Antibody Compensation Beads (Product # A10497).
Super Bright 780 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 780 nm. This dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation.

Target Information
CD5 is a 67 kDa human T-lymphocyte transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on most thymocytes, mature T cells, and some B cells. It functions as a receptor regulating T-cell proliferation and is associated with thymus cancer and Richter’s Syndrome.
