Target Information
Metadherin (MTDH, LYRIC)은 상피세포의 tight junction 단백질(ZO-1, occludin 등)과 함께 위치하는 단백질로, tight junction 복합체의 성숙 과정에서 동원됩니다.
Metadherin은 유방암 조직과 종양 이식편에서 과발현되며, 정상 조직에서는 낮은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
이 단백질은 폐 혈관에 결합하여 유방암 전이의 주요 표적 부위로 작용하며, 항체 또는 siRNA로 Metadherin을 억제하면 전이가 감소하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
