This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Dog, Cat, and Pig.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening for optimal clones.

Target Information
Ubiquitin-like protein ISG15 plays a key role in the innate immune response to viral infection through conjugation to target proteins (ISGylation) or as a free protein. It is secreted from monocytes in response to type I interferons and promotes NK-cell proliferation and non-MHC-restricted cytotoxicity.
ISG15 synthesis is stimulated by IFN-α, IFN-β, or IFN-ω, but not IFN-γ. Expression is also induced by overexpression of interferon regulatory factors and by influenza B virus.
It is secreted by monocyte, T-lymphocyte, B-lymphocyte, fibroblast, and epithelial cell lines. ISG15 enhances NK cell proliferation and IFN-γ induction, acting as part of the cytokine cascade to amplify immunomodulatory effects of interferons.
Mutations in the ISG15 gene can cause Immunodeficiency 38 with basal ganglia calcification (IMD38).
