Janus kinase 2 (JAK2)는 특정 사이토카인 수용체 신호 전달 경로에 관여하는 단백질 티로신 키나아제로, polycythemia vera에서 변이되는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
JAK2의 활성화는 STAT 단백질의 인산화를 유도하며, STAT 단백질은 핵으로 이동하여 다양한 유전자 발현을 조절합니다.
JAK2는 IFN-γ 수용체 복합체의 초기화에 필수적이며, JAK1은 증폭기로 작용합니다.
JAK2 변이는 Budd-Chiari syndrome, Polycythemia vera, Thrombocythemia 3, Myelofibrosis, Acute myelogenous leukemia 등을 유발할 수 있습니다.
