Product Specific Information

MA1-016-D488 has been successfully used in ICC/IF and flow cytometry applications on human and mouse samples.
It can be used for immunofluorescence analysis of LIN28 in human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).

Target Information

Lin28 is a transcription factor originally identified for its role in developmental timing in C. elegans.
Its involvement in development makes it valuable for creating stem cells that may aid in regenerative therapies for degenerative diseases.
Induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells can be generated by expressing Lin28 along with transcription factors POU5F1, Sox2, and NANOG in mouse fibroblasts.
Recent studies show iPS cells can also be created using plasmid expression of Lin28, Sox2, POU5F1, and c-Myc—avoiding viral introduction and improving safety for regenerative medicine applications.
