This antibody has specificity for Human DLL4/Delta-like 4.
Target Information
Delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4), also known as Delta-4, is a transmembrane ligand for the Notch1 receptor. DLL4 is expressed in the vasculature and plays a key role in vascular development. It is induced by VEGF as a negative feedback regulator to control angiogenic sprouting and promote formation of a differentiated vascular network. DLL4 is strongly expressed in tumor vessels of clear-cell renal tumors and bladder cancer. Inhibition of DLL4 increases vascular proliferation but impairs maturation, leading to reduced tumor growth without apparent toxicity.
