Target Information
CPA1 (Carboxypeptidase A1) is a 419-amino-acid secreted monomeric protein highly expressed in pancreatic tissue.
It functions as a zinc-dependent pancreatic exopeptidase, catalyzing the release of C-terminal amino acids from proteins and playing a key role in digestion and degradation.
CPA1 may also inhibit zymogen activation pathways. Abnormal CPA1 levels are associated with pancreatic cancer, indicating potential roles in tumor progression or suppression.
