Product Specific Information
Recombinant Human ICAM-1 is a 49.5 kDa glycoprotein comprising the extracellular domain (453 amino acid residues) of ICAM-1.
Monomeric glycosylated ICAM-1 migrates at an apparent molecular weight of approximately 72–80 kDa by SDS-PAGE analysis under reducing conditions.

Target Information
ICAM-1 (CD54) is an 85–110 kDa single-chain type I integral membrane glycoprotein composed of:
- Extracellular domain with five immunoglobulin superfamily repeats
- Transmembrane region
- Cytoplasmic domain
ICAM-1 has seven potential N-linked glycosylation sites and shares significant sequence homology with ICAM-2 (CD102) and ICAM-3 (CD50).
It binds to integrins CD11a/CD18 (LFA-1) and CD11b/CD18 (Mac-1), and serves as a receptor for Rhinovirus.
Expression: Activated endothelial cells, epithelial cells, fibroblasts, chondrocytes, B and T lymphocytes (low), monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, neutrophils, and certain carcinoma and melanoma cells.
Soluble ICAM-1: Detected in plasma; elevated in various inflammatory syndromes.
