Target Information
Kallikrein은 다양한 생리학적 기능을 가진 세린 프로테아제의 하위군으로, 여러 종류의 암 및 질병의 바이오마커로 연구되고 있습니다.
이 유전자는 염색체 19번에 위치한 15개의 kallikrein 서브패밀리 중 하나이며, 표피의 각질층 탈락(desquamation) 과정에서 세포간 결합 구조의 단백질 분해에 관여하는 효소를 암호화합니다.
대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 두 가지 전사 변이가 존재합니다.
