This antibody shows specificity for Human KLK-11 (Kallikrein 11).
Target Information
Hippostasin (KLK11) is a kallikrein-like serine protease with two alternatively spliced isoforms: brain-type and prostate-type. It plays roles in reproductive and tumorigenic functions in the prostate. Elevated serum KLK11 levels have been observed in 70% of women with ovarian cancer and 60% of men with prostate cancer. KLK11 biomarker analysis in serum may assist in diagnosis and monitoring of ovarian and prostate carcinoma.
