이 유전자는 염색체 19의 클러스터에 위치한 15개의 kallikrein 하위 가족 구성원 중 하나입니다. 이 단백질은 저분자 키니노겐으로부터 혈관활성 펩타이드인 Lys-bradykinin을 방출하는 기능적으로 보존된 능력을 가집니다.
