Target Information
Interleukin-15 (IL-15)은 T세포와 자연살해(NK)세포의 활성 및 증식을 조절하는 사이토카인입니다.
IL-15와 IL-2는 공통 수용체 서브유닛을 공유하며, 상호 경쟁적으로 작용하여 활성 조절에 관여합니다.
CD8+ 메모리 세포 수는 IL-15와 IL-2의 균형에 의해 조절됩니다.
IL-15는 JAK 키나아제 활성화 및 STAT3, STAT5, STAT6의 인산화와 활성화를 유도합니다.
마우스 연구에서는 IL-15가 STAT6을 통해 항아포토시스 단백질 Bcl-xL의 발현을 증가시켜 세포 사멸을 억제할 수 있음이 시사되었습니다.
IL-15는 T/B 림프구, NK 세포, 대식세포, 단핵구의 성장과 분화에 중요한 역할을 하며, 면역 반응, 이식 거부, 자가면역 질환의 병태생리에 필수적입니다.
또한 류마티스 관절염, 건선, 폐 염증성 질환 등 여러 염증성 질환에서 IL-15의 역할이 보고되었으며, IL-15 중화가 치료적 효과를 보일 가능성이 제시되고 있습니다.
