Target Information
IL-15 (Interleukin 15)은 T 세포 및 자연살해세포(NK cell)의 활성화와 증식을 조절하는 사이토카인입니다. IL-15와 IL-2는 공통 수용체 서브유닛에 결합하여 서로의 활성을 조절하며, CD8⁺ 메모리 세포의 수를 조절하는 역할을 합니다.
IL-15는 JAK 키나아제의 활성화 및 STAT3, STAT5, STAT6의 인산화와 활성화를 유도합니다. 또한 Bcl-xL 발현을 증가시켜 세포사멸을 억제할 수 있습니다.
이 단백질은 T 및 B 림프구, NK 세포, 대식세포, 단핵구의 성장과 분화에 중요한 역할을 하며, 면역반응, 이식편 거부반응, 자가면역질환의 병태생리에 관여합니다.
IL-15는 염증성 사이토카인으로서 류머티즘 관절염, 건선, 폐 염증 질환 등 다양한 염증성 질환에 관련이 있으며, IL-15 중화가 치료적 효과를 보일 수 있다는 연구 결과가 있습니다.
