Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The Lipin family of nuclear proteins includes Lipin-1, Lipin-2, and Lipin-3, each containing a nuclear signal sequence, a conserved N-terminal (NLIP) domain, and a C-terminal (CLIP) domain.
LPIN1 (Lipin-1) is essential for normal adipose tissue development and metabolism. It activates PGC-1A target pathways such as fatty acid oxidation and mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation by inducing PPARA expression. LPIN1 also suppresses lipogenesis and circulating lipid levels.
Overexpression of LPIN1 promotes fat accumulation and insulin sensitivity, while deficiency may cause insulin resistance and lipodystrophy characterized by loss of body fat, fatty liver, and hypertriglyceridemia.
