Target Information

Ubiquitin:
Exists either covalently attached to another protein or free (unanchored). When covalently bound, ubiquitin is conjugated to target proteins via an isopeptide bond as monoubiquitin or polyubiquitin chains. Each linkage type (e.g., Lys-6, Lys-11, Lys-48, Lys-63) confers distinct biological functions such as DNA repair, ERAD, lysosomal degradation, kinase modification, and NF-kappa-B activation. Free polyubiquitin also plays roles in protein kinase activation and signaling.

60S Ribosomal Protein L40:
Component of the 60S ribosomal subunit, essential for translation of specific cellular transcripts and cap-dependent translation of vesicular stomatitis virus mRNAs.
