Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Gephyrin is a neuronal assembly protein that anchors inhibitory neurotransmitter receptors to the postsynaptic cytoskeleton through high-affinity binding to receptor subunit domains and tubulin dimers.
In non-neuronal tissues, this protein is essential for molybdenum cofactor biosynthesis.
Mutations in the GPHN gene are associated with hyperplexia and molybdenum cofactor deficiency.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, though not all full-length forms have been characterized.
