Product Specific Information
The M1/70 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD11b, a 165–170 kDa integrin alphaM. CD11b associates with CD18 to form alphaMbeta2 integrin (Mac-1) and binds CD54 (ICAM-1), C3bi, and fibrinogen.
Mac-1 is expressed by macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, and mouse B-1 cells. M1/70 also cross-reacts with human CD11b, enabling detection on human monocytes, granulocytes, and NK cell subsets.
CD11b participates in adhesive cell interactions through ligand binding.

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize titration per assay.

Target Information
CD11b (integrin alpha-M, ITGAM) forms a heterodimer with CD18 (integrin beta-2), known as Mac-1 or CR3.
Expressed on monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, and microglia.
Functions as receptor for ICAM-1, ICAM-2, ICAM-4, CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X.
Expression varies by tissue and cell type; used as microglial marker in nervous tissue.
Associated with systemic lupus erythematosus and ITGAM-related susceptibility.
