For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional round of desalting is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

HOXD9 is a sequence-specific transcription factor involved in developmental regulation, providing cells with positional identities along the anterior-posterior axis.
This gene belongs to the homeobox family, encoding transcription factors essential for morphogenesis in multicellular organisms.
Mammals possess four homeobox gene clusters (HOXA, HOXB, HOXC, and HOXD), each located on different chromosomes.
HOXD9 is part of the HOXD cluster on chromosome 2q31–2q37.
Deletions involving this region are associated with severe limb and genital abnormalities.
The precise biological role of HOXD9 remains to be fully elucidated.
