The antibody detects endogenous levels of total ARHGEF3 protein.
Target Information
Rho-like GTPases are involved in various cellular processes, activated by GTP binding and inactivated by GTP hydrolysis. Guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) promote activation by facilitating GDP release.
ARHGEF3 specifically activates RHOA and RHOB, both important in bone cell biology. Genetic variations in ARHGEF3 are associated with bone mineral density (BMD) and postmenopausal osteoporosis.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
