Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
PDPK1 (3-Phosphoinositide Dependent Protein Kinase 1) phosphorylates AGC kinases and activates conventional PKC and PKC zeta through phosphorylation of critical threonine residues in the activation loop.
It also phosphorylates Protein Kinase B (PKB/Akt) at threonine 308 in the presence of phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate. Active Akt inactivates Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 (GSK3), leading to activation of glycogen synthase and stimulation of glycogen synthesis.
Given its role in insulin-induced glycogen synthesis and PKC activation, PDPK1 is an important target for metabolic drug research.
