Target Information
Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV)는 감마(2)-헤르페스바이러스 아과에 속하며, Kaposi’s sarcoma, primary effusion lymphoma (PEL), multicentric Castleman’s disease와 밀접한 관련이 있습니다.
KSHV의 게놈은 약 165–170 kb 크기로, 최소 88개의 open reading frame을 포함합니다. ORF45 단백질은 즉시 초기 유전자로부터 발현되는 인산화 단백질로, 감염된 세포의 세포질에 위치합니다.
연구에 따르면 ORF45는 세포 내 IRF-7과 상호작용하여 바이러스 매개 IRF-7의 인산화 및 핵 이동을 차단하고, 결과적으로 type I IFN 생성 억제에 관여합니다. 또한 ORF45 단백질은 정제된 비리온과 연관되어 있음이 보고되었습니다 (Zhu et al., 2003).
