Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
BAX is a member of the Bcl-2 family and plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis.
While Bcl-2 functions as an anti-apoptotic protein, BAX promotes apoptosis through homo- and heterodimerization with Bcl-2 isoforms.
The Bax gene encodes several isoforms, including Bax alpha (21 kDa) and Bax beta (24 kDa). Bax beta lacks a hydrophobic transmembrane domain, distinguishing it from Bax alpha.
BAX overexpression promotes cell death and interacts with other BCL-2-related proteins to regulate apoptotic pathways.
