Product Specific Information

The immunogenic sequence is homologous with mouse and rat Arg3.1.
Reconstitute with 500 µL of distilled water. After reconstitution, keep aliquots at -20°C for higher stability, and at 4°C with an appropriate antibacterial agent.

Target Information

ARC (Arg3.1) is a master regulator of synaptic plasticity that self-assembles into virion-like capsids, encapsulating RNAs and mediating intercellular RNA transfer in the nervous system. ARC protein is released from neurons in extracellular vesicles that transfer ARC mRNA into target cells, where it undergoes activity-dependent translation.
It is essential for long-term potentiation (LTP), long-term depression (LTD), and memory formation by regulating AMPA receptor endocytosis and maintaining neuronal homeostasis. ARC also mediates synapse elimination in the developing cerebellum and contributes to visual cortex plasticity. Additionally, ARC influences APP processing and dendritic cell migration, linking synaptic and immune regulation.
