Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: Add 50 µL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

VLR-1 (TRPV2) is a calcium-permeable, non-selective cation channel exhibiting outward rectification.
It is regulated by growth factors such as IGF1 and PDGF, and morphogenetic neuropeptides.
Unlike TRPV1, VRL-1 does not respond to capsaicin, acid, or moderate heat but is activated by high temperatures (~52°C).
It is expressed in medium- to large-diameter sensory neurons, potentially mediating high-threshold heat responses.
Expression is not limited to sensory neurons, suggesting broader physiological roles.
VRL-1 belongs to the TRPV (vanilloid-like TRP-channel) family.
