For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step.

Target Information

F-Box and WD Repeat Domain Containing 7 (FBXW7) is a member of the F-box protein family, characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid F-box motif.
F-box proteins form one of the four subunits of the ubiquitin ligase complex SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), functioning in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination.

F-box proteins are divided into three classes:

• Fbws: containing WD-40 domains
• Fbls: containing leucine-rich repeats
• Fbxs: containing other protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs

FBXW7 (previously FBX30) belongs to the Fbws class and contains seven tandem WD40 repeats.
It binds directly to cyclin E and likely targets it for ubiquitin-mediated degradation.
Mutations in this gene are found in ovarian and breast cancer cell lines, suggesting its role in cancer pathogenesis.
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
