Target Information

RIPK3 is a member of the receptor-interacting protein (RIP) family of serine/threonine protein kinases, containing a unique C-terminal domain distinct from other RIP family members.
It is predominantly localized to the cytoplasm and mitochondria, capable of nucleocytoplasmic shuttling via nuclear localization and export signals.
RIPK3 participates in the TNF receptor-I signaling complex, inducing apoptosis and weakly activating NF-kappaB.
Caspase-8 prevents RIPK3-dependent necrosis by forming a proteolytically active complex with CFLAR, essential for protective function.
