Target Information
The Rho subfamily of small GTP-binding proteins mediates fundamental cellular functions such as actin reorganization, adhesion, cytokinesis, and motility.
RhoH (also known as TTF, Rho-related GTP-binding protein, or ras homolog gene family member H) differs from most small G proteins as it is expressed only in hematopoietic cells and tissues.
Translocations and mutations of RhoH have been detected in primary lymphoma cells, and expression is observed in activated neutrophils.
RhoH is GTPase-deficient, remaining in a GTP-bound activated state without cycling, and may play a role in T-cell differentiation and cytoskeleton organization.
The RhoH/TTF (ARHH) gene maps to chromosome 4p13 and encodes a 191-amino acid polypeptide.
