Target Information
ASGR2 is a cell surface receptor that binds galactose-terminated glycoproteins. It mediates transport of these glycoproteins through membrane vesicles and tubules to an acidic-sorting organelle where receptor-ligand dissociation occurs. The receptor is then recycled to the cell surface.
This gene has four alternatively spliced transcript variants and multiple polyadenylation sites.
