Target Information

E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin)은 칼슘 의존성 세포 간 접착 단백질로, cadherin 초가족에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 다섯 개의 세포외 도메인, 막관통 영역, 그리고 보존된 세포질 꼬리를 포함합니다.
E-Cadherin 유전자의 돌연변이는 위암, 유방암, 대장암, 갑상선암, 난소암 등과 관련이 있으며, 발현 감소 또는 소실은 종양의 침윤 및 전이 가능성과 양의 상관관계를 보입니다.
이 단백질의 세포외 도메인은 세균의 부착에 관여하며, 세포질 도메인은 내재화에 필수적입니다. 인간에서 E-Cadherin은 16번 염색체의 CDH1 유전자에 의해 암호화됩니다.
조직 구조 유지 및 세포 성장 조절에 중요한 역할을 수행합니다.
