Mouse anti-Rat CD45 antibody, clone OX-1 recognizes CD45, also known as the leucocyte common antigen (LCA).
Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising approximately 10% of lymphocyte surface proteins.
It is absent on non-hematopoietic cell lines and tissues. CD45 glycoprotein is essential in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases and JAK kinases.
CD45 isoforms differ due to alternative splicing, affecting extracellular domains and expression patterns among lymphoid subtypes.
It plays a critical role in T- and B-cell receptor signaling, cytokine receptor regulation, and integrin-mediated signal transduction related to cell survival and apoptosis.
