For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
Mouse anti-dog CD34 antibody, clone 1H6, recognizes the canine homologue of CD34, a glycosylated type I transmembrane protein (~110 kDa) expressed on endothelial cells and hematopoietic stem cells (McSweeney et al., 1998).

Target Information

CD34 is a highly glycosylated monomeric surface protein (111–115 kDa) expressed on many stem cell populations. It serves as a stem cell marker and may function as a surface receptor involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis, adhesion, differentiation, and proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells.
CD34 may mediate attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or stromal cells and could act as a scaffold for lineage-specific glycans, facilitating binding to lectins. The intracellular domain is phosphorylated by protein kinase C, suggesting a role in signal transduction.
Diseases associated with CD34 dysfunction include dermatofibrosarcoma and neurofibroma.
