Product Specific Information

  • Reconstitution: Add 15 µL or 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW) depending on sample size.
  • Ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
  • Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
  • Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
  • For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.

Target Information

TRPV4 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 4) is a cation-selective channel activated by systemic osmotic pressure. It is a non-selective calcium-permeant cation channel involved in osmotic and mechanosensitivity.
TRPV4 belongs to the OSM9-like transient receptor potential channel (OTRPC) subfamily within the TRP superfamily.
Mutations in the TRPV4 gene are associated with spondylometaphyseal and metatropic dysplasia, and hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy type IIC.
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
