Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-κB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, it belongs to the Rel family of transcription factors and forms heterodimers with p50 or p52 subunits. Upon TNF-α stimulation, IKK phosphorylates IκB, leading to its degradation and the release of NF-κB p65, which translocates to the nucleus to regulate transcription of immune-related genes, including the immunoglobulin κ gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
