Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-kB p65, also known as RelA, belongs to the Rel family of proteins and forms a heterodimer with subunits p50 or p52. TNF-α binding induces IKK phosphorylation, leading to IκB degradation and NF-kB activation. NF-kB p65 plays a crucial role in transcription of immunoglobulin κ (kappa) gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
