Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, it belongs to the Rel family of proteins. NF-kB p65 forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits and plays a key role in transcriptional regulation of immune-related genes. Upon TNFα stimulation, IKK phosphorylates IκB, leading to its degradation and activation of NF-kB signaling. NF-kB p65 specifically regulates transcription of the immunoglobulin κ gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
