Target Information
TCF12 (HTF4)는 basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) E-protein 계열에 속하며, E-box (CANNTG) 서열을 인식합니다.
이 단백질은 골격근, 흉선, B세포 및 T세포 등 다양한 조직에서 발현되며, 다른 bHLH E-protein과의 이합체 형성을 통해 계통 특이적 유전자 발현 조절에 관여합니다.
TCF12는 E2A와 함께 pre-TCR 발현 이전에 흉선세포 증식을 억제하고, 정상적인 T세포 분화에 필수적인 역할을 합니다.
또한 invariant natural killer T세포 발달에도 중요한 인자로 보고되었습니다.
