Target Information
Laminins는 세포외기질 당단백질로, basement membrane의 주요 비콜라겐 성분입니다. 세포 부착, 분화, 이동, 신호전달, 신경돌기 성장 및 전이 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에 관여합니다. Laminin의 효과는 세포 표면 수용체와의 상호작용을 통해 매개되며, Integrin 계열 및 비-Integrin laminin 결합 단백질을 포함합니다.
이 유전자는 고친화성 비-Integrin 계열 Laminin receptor 1을 암호화하며, 67 kDa Laminin receptor, 37 kDa Laminin receptor precursor (37LRP), p40 ribosome-associated protein 등으로도 불립니다.
Laminin receptor 1의 아미노산 서열은 진화적으로 매우 보존되어 있으며, 대장암 및 폐암 세포에서 발현이 증가되어 전이 및 침습성과 관련이 있음이 보고되었습니다.
이 유전자는 다수의 유사유전자를 가지며, 대부분은 역위치 전이(retropositional event)에 의해 발생한 것으로 추정됩니다. 두 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
