Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
KRT16는 케라틴 유전자군에 속하는 단백질로, 상피세포의 구조적 안정성을 담당하는 중간 필라멘트 단백질이다. 대부분의 type I cytokeratin은 산성 단백질로 구성되어 있으며, 이들은 이형성 케라틴 사슬의 쌍으로 배열되어 염색체 17q12-q21 영역에 클러스터로 존재한다.
KRT16은 식도, 혀, 모낭 등 다양한 상피 조직에서 keratin 14와 함께 발현된다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 type 1 pachyonychia congenita, non-epidermolytic palmoplantar keratoderma 및 unilateral palmoplantar verrucous nevus와 관련이 있다.
