Product Specific Information
- Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
- After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
- Mouse anti-Human CD71 antibody, clone DF1513 recognizes the human CD71 cell surface antigen, an approximately 190 kDa homodimeric glycoprotein expressed by proliferating cells.
Target Information
Cellular uptake of iron occurs via receptor-mediated endocytosis of ligand-occupied transferrin receptor into specialized endosomes. Endosomal acidification leads to iron release, and the apotransferrin-receptor complex is recycled to the cell surface. The transferrin receptor is essential for erythrocyte and nervous system development. Serum transferrin receptor (sTfR) serves as a biomarker for detecting EPO misuse and diagnosing various anemias, including those associated with rheumatoid arthritis, pregnancy, irritable bowel syndrome, and HIV.
