The Applied Biosystems™ Human PPIA (Cyclophilin A) Endogenous Control (VIC™/MGB Probe, Primer Limited) is intended as an endogenous control. It allows relative gene expression quantification in cDNA samples when used with other gene expression assays. The probe is labeled with VIC™ dye-MGB, and primers are limited. It can be used for multiplex or singleplex PCR reactions. This endogenous control is compatible with Inventoried and Non-Inventoried TaqMan™ Gene Expression Assays, Custom TaqMan™ Gene Expression Assays, and/or Custom TaqMan™ Primers and Probes.

TaqMan™ Endogenous Controls eliminate months of assay design, formulation, and testing. These pre-designed probe and primer sets enable normalization of sample RNA or DNA amounts in a reaction, providing reliable quantification of gene expression.

Complete Solution for Quantitative Gene Expression

TaqMan™ Endogenous Controls simplify the selection of appropriate controls for most common human, mouse, rat, and eukaryotic genes, reducing trial-and-error in assay setup.

Simple to Use

All components are QC tested and provided as a single 20X mix. Compatible with universal conditions for two-step RT-PCR. Simply add TaqMan™ Universal PCR Master Mix (with or without AmpErase™ UNG) and cDNA to obtain sensitive, reproducible, and quantitative gene expression data on Applied Biosystems instruments such as 7900HT, 7300, 7500 Real-Time PCR Systems, and the 7000/7700 Sequence Detection Systems.

Flexible Offering

Each endogenous control uses 5′ nuclease chemistry. Options include:

• FAM™ dye-labeled TaqMan™ MGB probe (250 nM final) and two unlabeled PCR primers (900 nM each)
• VIC™ dye-labeled TaqMan™ MGB probe (250 nM final) and two unlabeled PCR primers (150 nM each, primer limited)
• VIC™ dye-labeled TAMRA™ probe (250 nM final) and two unlabeled PCR primers (150 nM each, primer limited)

Choosing the Right Endogenous Control

Endogenous controls normalize target gene expression by correcting for variations in cDNA loading. Ensure consistent expression across all samples. For multiplexing, the endogenous control gene should be more abundantly expressed than the target gene.

Multiplex vs. Singleplex PCR

TaqMan™ Endogenous Controls with VIC™ reporter dye are primer limited, enabling multiplexing with target gene expression assays. FAM™ reporter dye-labeled controls are not primer limited and are intended for singleplex use.
