• In direct ELISAs, approximately 12% cross-reactivity with recombinant canine IL-17 is observed.
• 25–50% reactivity with recombinant human IL-17A/IL-17F heterodimer.
• No cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-17, rhIL-17B, rhIL-17C, rhIL-17D, rhIL-17E, or rhIL-17F.
• Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
• Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).

Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses and is elevated in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.
IL-17A is a 32 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer (136 amino acids), part of the IL-17 family (IL-17A–F), signaling through the IL-17 receptor (IL-17R/CDw217).

Key biological roles include:

• Enhances expression of ICAM-1 in human fibroblasts
• Stimulates epithelial, endothelial, and fibroblastic cells to secrete IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE2
• Supports proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitors into neutrophils
• Regulates NF-κB and MAPK pathways, increasing IL-6 and COX-2 expression and nitric oxide production
