Product Specific Information

The 30-F11 monoclonal antibody reacts with all isoforms of mouse CD45, also known as Leukocyte Common Antigen (LCA). CD45 is expressed by all hematopoietic cells excluding mature erythrocytes and platelets. The cytoplasmic portion of CD45 has tyrosine phosphatase enzymatic activity and plays an important role in activation of lymphocytes.

Applications Reported:
Flow cytometric analysis, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemical staining, complement-dependent cytotoxicity. (Functional Grade purified 30-F11 is recommended for functional assays.)

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells and splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may vary (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize titration for best performance.

Target Information

CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells. It constitutes ~10% of lymphocyte surface proteins and is absent in non-hematopoietic cells. CD45 regulates Src-family kinases, antigen receptor signaling, and cytokine receptor pathways. Isoforms arise from alternative splicing and differ in extracellular domains. CD45 plays key roles in lymphocyte activation, survival, and immune regulation.
